Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Project Engineer to drive end-to-end manufacturing capital and facility projects.

You will translate program and production requirements into scoped, scheduled, and delivered outcomes, collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering, Automation & Controls, Process Engineering, Safety, and external contractors. The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on industrial project engineering or 7 years without a degree, strong skills in SOW development,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or related engineering with 3 years of manufacturing project engineering experience or 7 years of hands-on experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience translating requirements into Statements of Work, scopes of work or building plans in manufacturing, industrial, or construction settings.
  • Ability to build and manage project schedules, track deliverables, and drive accountability across subcontractors and engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, automation equipment, and controls infrastructure for coordinating procurement, installation and commissioning.
  • Experience tracking procurement, delivery and installation within a project controls context.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for contractors, engineers, and leadership.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong self-starter mentality and ability to work both independently and as a team member.

Responsibilities

  • Translate manufacturing and program requirements into clearly scoped Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Build, maintain and drive project schedules, track milestones and risks.
  • Coordinate installation and commissioning of equipment, automation systems, and controls.
  • Track procurement, delivery and installation status with logs and proactive communication.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, field crews, and internal teams for scope and quality.
  • Maintain complete project documentation (SOWs, submittals, RFIs, minutes, change orders).
  • Support procurement and contract administration and apply project controls insights.
  • Collaborate across Manufacturing Engineering, Automation & Controls, Process Engineering, Safety, and Compliance to meet regulatory requirements.
