Job summary
Axon is seeking a Sr. Manager, Mission Engineering & Operations in Columbia, SC to lead a distributed team of embedded Mission Engineers partnering with public safety agencies.
You will coach engineers, set standards for technical delivery, and translate field learnings into scalable solutions that drive adoption and measurable impact. You will manage complex deployments, maintain CJIS-compliant practices, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and leadership to advance Axon's mission to
Qualifications
- 10+ years of customer-facing technical delivery or related experience.
- 5+ years leading and developing senior technical individual contributors.
- Experience leading distributed or field-based teams across multiple customers.
- Ability to obtain CJIS compliance and handle highly sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Lead a distributed team of embedded Mission Engineers across agencies.
- Coach engineers through complex decisions, ambiguous problems, and high-stakes delivery.
- Set clear ownership, technical quality, onsite partnership, delivery, and adoption goals.
- Develop development plans to expand engineers' technical range and leadership.
- Turn field learnings into reusable portfolio insights and drive adoption.
