Job summary

STR in San Diego, CA is seeking a Mission Engineer (Full Stack) to design, develop, and deploy software for real-world DoD/IC missions in high-security environments. You will lead software teams, manage customer relationships, and ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications include active Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, a BS in CS, 7+ years of experience, and proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Python. Travel approx. one week per month; relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret level with SCI Eligibility.
• BS in Computer Science or related technical field with at least 7 years of work experience.
• Experience deploying software for DoD or IC missions.
• Passion for crafting user-centric interfaces and keen eye for design details.
• Demonstrated knowledge of modern technologies (React, TypeScript, Python).
• Knowledge of performance-focused tools for rendering large datasets and building responsive interfaces.
• Able to adopt new languages, libraries, and technologies.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead software teams to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical software in high-security environments.
• Collaborate with customers to translate requirements into software features.
• Build and deploy full-stack solutions and integrate APIs for deployment in secure environments.
• Travel to integration sites to deploy, test, and triage software as needed.
