Job summary

STR is seeking a Mission Engineer (Full Stack) to design, develop, and maintain software for real‑world DoD missions. You will lead teams to deliver high‑quality, secure solutions in advanced environments, with strong emphasis on user‑centric design and mission impact.

Ideal candidates bring React, TypeScript, and Python expertise, plus DoD/IC deployment experience and the ability to manage complex customer relationships across operational contexts. Some travel to field sites is required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• BS in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years experience.
• Experience deploying software for DoD or IC missions.
• Willingness to learn new languages and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build prototype capabilities by breaking down use cases and MVPs.
• Develop high‑performing frontend features for complex use cases.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to design, build, deploy a cohesive system.
• Collaborate with end‑users and customers to translate requirements into features.
• Travel to integration sites to deploy, test, and triage software in secure environments; approx. one week per month.
