Job summary

STR is seeking a Lead Mission Engineer - Full Stack to lead software teams in developing mission-critical, high-security applications for DoD/IC missions. You will design, develop, and deploy full-stack solutions, integrate APIs, and ensure performance in secured environments.

The role requires leadership in cross-functional teams and deep customer collaboration with government operators. Qualified candidates have a BS in CS or related field, 7+ years of relevant experience, and an Active Secret

Qualifications

Active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret level with SCI Eligibility
BS in Computer Science or related technical field
Experience deploying software for DoD or IC missions
Passion for crafting user-centric interfaces and design details
Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript and Python
Organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently or collaboratively
Proven effective communication to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

Build Prototype Capabilities: break down use cases, build MVP, evolve into a cohesive application
Develop and Enhance Features: frontend that is fast, smooth and intuitive under heavy load
System Integration: lead cross-functional teams to design, build and deploy a cohesive system
Customer Collaboration: translate end-user requirements into software features; engage with government operators
Deployment and Field Testing: travel to integration sites; expect travel up to ~1 week per month
