Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) partners with a respected nonprofit in New Britain, CT, to add an HR/Payroll Specialist to its growing team. You will process payroll, manage onboarding/offboarding, and maintain HRIS data while supporting HR operations and compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with department managers, employee relations, and engagement initiatives in a stable, mission-driven environment with strong leadership and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with ADP is strongly preferred.
• Payroll processing and onboarding/offboarding experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for around 200 employees.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data, administer benefits updates.
• Partner with managers on employee relations and engagement initiatives.
• Support day-to-day HR operations and ensure policy compliance.
