Job summary

GDIT in Livermore, CA is seeking a Systems Administrator/Mission Support Operator for on-site, 24/7 operations supporting end customers worldwide. You will monitor IT systems, triage faults, and provide rapid situational awareness to users across locations.

This role requires 8+ years of IT experience, TS/SCI or DoE Q clearance, and 8570 compliant certifications. On-site work, Panama shift pattern, and a strong information technology foundation are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of directly related experience in IT / Network administration and support.
• TS/SCI or DoE Q Clearance
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, or WireShark.
• Working knowledge of critical physical infrastructure (HVAC, Power, UPS) supporting mission operations

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7, 365, 12hrs shift Tier 1/2 operational support to end customers and users in the field/worldwide.
• Monitor performance and capacity of end-to-end IT systems with specialized tools.
• Triage hardware, software and environmental faults, alerts, or malfunctions.
• Serve as first responder for site issues across a multi-location enterprise.
• Ensure real-time response to mission critical situations and 911 notifications when required.
• Support Networking team with Layer 1/2/3 activities and documentation.
