Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Senior Safety Manager, Mission Critical, to lead safety excellence across data center and mission critical projects nationwide.

You will partner with project leadership, clients, trade partners, and safety professionals to prevent incidents and drive continuous improvement. This role requires extensive travel (90-100%) and field presence across multiple states, delivering world-class safety performance while ensuring Veit's safety standards and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive construction safety experience, including 5+ years on large mission critical/data center projects.
• Experience leading safety programs across multiple states and locations.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and construction safety best practices.
• Ability to influence project teams and leaders while driving a strong safety culture.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action management.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety leadership across multiple mission critical projects and geographic regions.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and field assessments to identify and mitigate risk.
• Lead JHA/AHA reviews, pre-task planning, and critical lift reviews.
• Ensure implementation of site safety plans, permits, and client safety programs.
• Support teams in identifying risks from accelerated schedules, complex logistics, energized systems, confined spaces, crane operations, and excavation activities.
