Job summary

The Business Development Manager II at CAE USA's Defense and Security Military Training and Simulation focuses on identifying and advancing growth opportunities within an assigned customer portfolio. You will build relationships, analyze market conditions, and translate customer needs into differentiated solutions.

You will collaborate with capture, program, engineering, strategy, finance, contracts, and other teams to develop growth strategies, business cases, and customer engagement plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, national security, or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in business development or defense industry.
• Ability to translate customer needs into actionable strategies.
• Strong written and oral communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes business development plans within an assigned customer, mission, market, or capability portfolio.
• Identifies, evaluates, and qualifies new business opportunities aligned with CAE’s objectives.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with government customers and industry partners.
• Develops customer engagement plans, stakeholder maps, and opportunity assessments.
• Maintains understanding of customer missions, budgets, and procurement timelines.
• Coordinates with capture, program, engineering, strategy, finance, and contracts teams.
• Supports capture and proposal activities with customer insight and competitive intelligence.
• Tracks progress against growth objectives and communicates risks and actions to leadership.
