Key Responsibilities and Requirements

- Must have a firefighter background and a thorough understanding of Fire Department and EMS needs. We are Firefighters selling to Firefighters!
- The role involves weekly travel within the assigned state, attending meetings at the Amboy home office several times a year, and participating in fire shows as needed. Building relationships with fire departments and the sales team across the state is crucial.
- This is a remote sales position. The State Manager must be capable of growing business independently without daily in-person oversight, with a dedicated home office space.
- Must work diligently to ensure every Fire Department Chief and decision-maker in the state is familiar with you, providing excellent customer service. Building these relationships is a significant goal.
- The role requires experience managing 1099 distributors/sales reps and personnel, including recruiting and onboarding new 1099 sales reps to cover the assigned state comprehensively.
- Strong managerial skills, along with excellent oral and written communication skills, are necessary.
- Ideal candidates will have excellent people skills and enjoy working within a team environment.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and comfort with web-based sales programs and social media, is required.
- It is ideally preferred that the State Manager resides within the assigned state.
