Dinges Fire State Manager Job Description

1. This position requires a manager who understands the word ‘FLUID’. Dinges Fire is a growing company, and responsibilities may change rapidly. The State Manager must adapt and thrive amidst change.
2. Must have a firefighter background and understand all aspects of Fire Department and EMS needs. We are Firefighters selling to Firefighters!
3. The position involves weekly travel within the State, attending meetings at the Amboy home office, and participating in fire shows as needed. Traveling to work with our Sales Team and Fire Departments is a key responsibility.
4. This is a remote sales position. The State Manager must be capable of growing the business independently without daily in-person management, requiring a dedicated home office space.
5. Willingness to provide excellent customer service to Fire Departments, aiming to personally connect with every Fire Department Chief and Decision Maker in the State.
6. The role involves managing 1099 distributors/sales reps and personnel.
7. Experience in onboarding and recruiting 1099 Sales Reps to cover assigned State departments is essential.
8. Strong managerial skills along with excellent oral and written communication are required.
9. The ideal candidate must have excellent people skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
10. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and comfort with web-based sales programs and social media is necessary.
11. Ideally, the State Manager resides in the assigned State.
