Job summary

Applied Intuition seeks a seasoned Field Operations Lead to manage on-site services and coordinate daily field activities for customer deployments. You will ensure readiness of teams, vehicles, and equipment to support tests, while collaborating with test engineering to meet technical goals.

The role emphasizes safety, risk assessment, and cross-functional coordination in rugged environments, with a focus on delivering reliable, high-quality field execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in field operations, ideally in mining, AV testing, robotics, or industrial environments.
• Proven leadership in execution-focused roles within complex deployment settings.
• Strong vendor and contractor management skills with accountability and clear outcomes.
• Comfort operating in rugged, dynamic environments with limited structure and high tempo.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site services such as utilities, safety zones, communications, and fleet access/security to enable testing.
• Lead daily field operations at customer deployments, ensuring teams, vehicles, and equipment are ready for scheduled tests.
• Coordinate test plans and work schedules for Test Specialists and Vehicle Operators.
• Partner with test engineering teams to align field execution with technical goals.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and escalate risks to Safety team for resolution.
• Facilitate site-level risk assessments to inform planning and vendor readiness.
