Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a hands-on Technical Operations Team Lead to mentor engineers and scale deployment programs across field operations. You will own SOPs, runbooks, and diagnostics while remaining deeply involved in customer deployments and incident response.

In this role you will travel up to 25% to customer sites, lead root-cause analyses, and collaborate with engineering to improve reliability and product readiness for mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent hands-on experience in engineering or related field.
• Experience leading technical teams in field engineering or operations.
• Deep familiarity with Linux environments and system debugging.
• Experience delivering complex hardware/software deployments in customer environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for deployments and support.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop Technical Operations Engineers through onboarding and reviews.
• Build SOPs, runbooks, escalation processes, and diagnostics for repeatable deployments.
• Deploy with the team, integrating CHAOS systems with customer infrastructure and debugging edge issues.
• Serve as senior escalation point for hardware, software, and networking incidents.
• Advise customers and internal teams on operational use and best practices.
• Capture feedback and partner with engineering to drive reliability and product improvements.
• Travel to customer/test sites up to 25% for deployments and support.
