Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our People Division. The ideal candidate will bring a background in employee and labor relations, program development and talent management to support a safe, sustainable mining operation in Nevada.

You will partner with business leaders, coach managers, investigate workplace matters, and help shape HR programs across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; emphasis in Human Resources desirable
• Minimum 5 years of broad-based HR experience, preferably as an HR Generalist or Business Partner
• Knowledge of HR policies, strategies, and labor relations concepts
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and related systems
• Proven safe work record and ability to work in a 24/7 operation
• Minimum of 2 years experience in labor relations; mining/heavy industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure programs and actions support safety and sustainability goals.
• Act as liaison between employer and employee to resolve labor relations matters.
• Handle employee complaints and grievances and elevate when necessary.
• Investigate workplace matters thoroughly and objectively.
• Coach managers and provide guidance on people-related decisions; mitigate risks.
• Respond to day-to-day HR inquiries from employees and managers.
• Analyze trends with operational divisions to develop solutions and policies.
• Collaborate with HR partners to ensure consistent program implementation.
• Provide direction to management on engagement, change management, and leadership.
