Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a MineStar Test & Validation Engineer to validate MineStar technology solutions through proving ground and field testing.

You will work with engineering, product support, operations, and customers to ensure performance and reliability before release. The role requires deep MineStar knowledge, mining operations understanding, and the ability to design and execute validation plans for new features, software releases, and system integrations.

Qualifications

• Experience with MineStar products or mining technology is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for hardware, software, and networks.
• Experience designing, planning, and executing software product testing and validation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute validation activities for MineStar products and features.
• Create test plans and validation reports to support product readiness.
• Validate MineStar functionality in proving ground and customer environments.
• Investigate and document complex software and system issues; identify root causes and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper validation and action closure.
• Support integration testing involving onboard systems, networks, and MineStar applications.
• Analyze test data and provide recommendations to improve quality and reliability.
• Travel to customer sites to support validation, field investigations, and deployments.
