Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. seeks a Field Service Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and support MineStar technology systems including Fleet, Terrain, and Command on Caterpillar machines in mine and shop environments.

You will commission, calibrate, and validate hardware, networks, and software to ensure system performance and machine integration, while communicating with customers about issues, actions, and recommendations. Travel to remote sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly in English about equipment status and repair recommendations.
• Demonstrated technical skill with diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of CAT machine components and systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Travel to remote locations as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to technicians.
