Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. is seeking a MineStar technology technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and support Fleet, Terrain, and Command systems on Caterpillar and allied equipment in field and shop environments.

You will commission and calibrate onboard hardware, sensors, networks, and software to ensure proper machine integration and operational readiness, while maintaining safety and customer relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
• DOT licensing, medical card, and endorsements as vehicle size dictates.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience.
• Must communicate in English (read, write, speak).
• Completion of TRAIN test evaluation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Travel to remote locations as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to technicians and helpers as assigned.
• Own and maintain required personal tools.
• Learn Empire, Caterpillar and allied product procedures and systems.
