The role requires supervisory experience and a strong focus on safety, with responsibilities spanning staffing, budgeting, and daily production plans.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED with five years of related operational experience, or a technical Bachelor's degree with internship exposure in mining.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 5 years of related operational/supervisory experience OR a Bachelor's degree with internship experience in mining/industrial environments.
• Certifications or licensure may be required for the role.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
• Skilled in budgeting, planning and administration.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the safe operation of the assigned work unit.
• Implement production plans according to the approved schedule.
• Participate in daily operational duties and address issues.
• Inspect work in progress and direct remedial action as needed.
• Perform staff performance evaluations and resource planning.
• Maintain inventory, approve purchases and manage reports.
• Train staff in safety procedures and maintain safety data sheets.
• Perform other duties as required.
