Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. seeks a supervisory operations lead at the Henderson mine and mill complex in Colorado. You will oversee safe and efficient production, manage staffing and materials, and drive adherence to plans at a high-capacity molybdenum operation.

The role requires a relevant technical mining degree or equivalent experience, with strong leadership and safety focus. On-site work is required with a competitive benefits program and housing support where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with five years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical mining-related discipline with at least one summer internship in mining/industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of staff for the assigned work unit.
• Implements production plans according to the approved schedule.
• May participate in the full range of daily operational duties, including the most difficult tasks.
• Inspects and evaluates work in progress, identifies problem areas, and directs remedial action.
• Conducts performance evaluations on subordinate staff.
• Prepares estimates of staffing, materials, and equipment for projected activities.
• Maintains inventory of parts and materials; approves purchases and maintains reports.
• Trains staff in safety procedures and maintains safety data sheets.
• Performs other duties as required.
