Job summary

Ledcor seeks an HS&E Advisor for our mining projects. You will report to the Manager, HS&E and lead professional health, safety, and environmental practices at various sites. Travel to different sites is required, and you will provide expert recommendations to operations teams and clients on health and safety matters.

You will guide HS&E personnel, apply safety management systems across environments, and support incident investigations and corrective actions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in the mining industry as an HS&E professional.
• In-depth understanding of MSHA regulations and 30 CFR.
• MSHA instructor card and formal OH&S education are assets.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and ensure HS&E compliance.
• Pass pre-access requirements including clean driving abstract and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Develop hazard assessments, inspections, audits and report findings with corrective actions.
• Provide on-site HS&E guidance to operations management and address emergency response and safety metrics.
• Coordinate inspections, focus audits and incident investigations.
• Verify compliance with leading and lagging indicators including subcontractors and actions.
• Analyze safety data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Lead complex incident investigations and train teams on processes.
• Support supervisors in managing injuries and return-to-work programs.
