Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to engage customers, understand their home improvement needs, and guide them through product choices and services. You’ll become the product expert, explaining features, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

You’ll work across store departments, assisting customers, coordinating with vendors, and supporting checkout processes. The role emphasizes consultative selling and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year in customer-facing sales or Lowe's retail experience.
• Experience in sales or customer service with goals/metrics is preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Ability to stand/sit for extended periods; lift up to 75 pounds with team lifts.
• Licensure or registration as required by law in your state; Lowe's supports this.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department; provide estimates and schedule installations.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services.
• Monitor inventory levels; work with vendors to find merchandise and replacement stock.
• Perform price reviews according to policies and maintain pricing/documents.
• Support all checkout functions and department pages; assist with requests for help.
• Train associates in the department and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
