Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, identify project needs, and guide them to products and services to complete home improvement projects. You’ll become a product expert, explaining specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

You’ll work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Plumbing, or Windows & Walls, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met)
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with sales goals or metrics
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
• Minimally lift 25 lbs
• Obtain sales-related licensure if required by state (Lowe’s will support)

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates, installations scheduling, orders, and follow-ups
• In Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services
• Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors/stores to restock
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing/documentation
• Support checkout functions and department requests
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development
• Complete other duties as assigned
