Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to engage customers, understand project needs, and guide them to suitable home improvement solutions. You will become a product expert, communicating specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

You will work across departments like Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, and more, helping customers achieve their home improvement goals while delivering exceptional service and solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external experience if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with/without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure/registration if required by state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, handling estimates, scheduling installations, and processing orders.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock replenishment.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support checkout and in-store assistance across departments.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
