Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist who will be one of the first people our customers meet, using sales expertise to help shoppers find products and turn project ideas into reality. You will learn product specifics, discuss customer needs, answer questions, and help customers complete purchases while promoting services, financing options, and installation where applicable in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience.
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers, understanding needs, and communicating advantages of Lowe's products.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, providing project estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing orders, and following up on completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, coordinate with vendors and other stores to find merchandise.
• Perform price reviews and ensure pricing documentation is maintained.
• Support checkout functions and department communications.
• Train associates in the department through on-the-job coaching.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
