Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a Sales Specialist to assist customers, explain product specs, and close sales. You will move throughout the store, answer questions, and become a product expert while addressing project needs and financing options.

You will work in a department such as Appliances, Flooring, or Pro, with a focus on delivering excellent service and meeting sales goals. Training and incentive programs are available to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or Lowe’s experience, or 3 years external sales with no Lowe’s experience.
• 1 year in sales or customer service with goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write and do basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Lifting up to 25 lbs, or more with assistance if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, handling estimates, scheduling, orders and follow-ups.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors and stores for stock and replacements.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist colleagues as needed.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
