Job summary

Carter Lumber in Bluffton, IN is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to grow millwork and building-material sales with builders and subcontractors. You will present and sell product lines, manage projects from sale through delivery, and nurture customer relationships on site and remotely as needed.

The role emphasizes cold calling, blueprint reading, take-offs, and accurate estimates. Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Experience selling millwork products including interior trim, interior doors, and interior hardware.
• Ability to read blueprints and to do take-offs.
• Excellent communication and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine their needs and provide beneficial services.
• Attains and maintains sales of all products, focused on interior and millwork products.
• Gives presentations to builders and provides expert advice on product features and benefits.
• Does take offs and prepares estimates to ensure orders are correct and on time.
