TheOperationsSupervisoris responsible fortheday-to-dayproductionat aMillworkPlant, as well as overseeing all shipping and receiving functions.Coaches,motivatesand supports the production crewand the Millwork dock team, applying a team approach andmaintainingopen communication with the staff.
Scope of the Position:
This positionis responsible forthe productionand dockteam atthe Huntsville, ALMillworkPlant.Directreports includeapproximately 15– 25 productionanddockemployees.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities expected of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coachthe production team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadlines andupdates
- Ensure that all produced products are loaded and shipped onto enclosed trailers in a safe andtimelymanner
- Oversee all inbound receiving functions for thelocation
- Comply withall OSHA safetyrequirements
- Communicate effectively with the management staff,the production teamand the dock team, informing and updating them regularly to ensure that productionobjectivesaremet
- Ensure company policies and procedures arefollowed
- Organize workflow according to workload to ensure the completion of the productionand shippingschedule
- Oversee all staff scheduling, time offrequests
- Monitor quality and accuracy of allorders
- Ensure the completion of all duties with minimum waste and abuse ofequipment
- Ensure employee safety training is conducted asrequired
- Provide a positive, motivating example foremployees
- Conduct training or authorize training of productionand dockemployees
- Conduct formal performance reviews per the company’s policy.Initiate disciplinary action according to company policy.
- Take all necessary action to manage production cost and improveprofit
- InformManager of equipment,production, shipping, and receivingconcerns
- Monitor ongoingoperationalissues and provide clear communications andresolutions

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience
- A minimum of3+ years’ experience in operationsleadership roles
Physical Requirements:

- Lift at least 50 pounds
- Able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
