Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Solar Site Field Engineer to support utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects across the United States. The role is project-site-based with on-site work and home trip rotations typically every 3-4 weeks, serving the Southwest Portfolio including El Paso, TX.

Responsibilities include coordinating inspections with AHJs, conducting FAIs, managing drawings and RFIs, and overseeing subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field is required.
• Drone operation experience or a valid UAS license is preferred.
• Experience in field/project engineering or construction management in renewables/oil & energy is beneficial.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate in multilingual environments is valued.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspections and discussions with local, county, and state AHJs.
• Create and conduct FAIs to verify sites meet design specs and standards.
• Document and maintain construction and engineering drawings, including redlines.
• Manage RFIs between construction teams, engineers, vendors, and project owners.
• Hold subcontractors and self-perform teams accountable to their scopes of work.
• Review construction material submittals for compliance and quality.
• Assist in preparing specifications, data sheets and other pre-construction planning.
• Maintain storm water documentation logs and coordinate remediation.
• Proactively manage project constraints with project management, engineering, and construction teams.
• Operate drones to capture construction progress and issues.
