Job summary

Sumitomo Drive Technologies USA is seeking a Senior Sales Manager for the Midwest territory to develop new business and train stakeholders on Sumitomo products with OEMs, distributors, users, and consultants. Travel and leadership experience are essential for success.

The annual salary range is $138,300 to $184,000, with final offers based on experience, specialized skills, and certifications. A BS in Business or Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of outside sales experience and three (5) years of experience managing sales teams.
• Five (5) years of sales experience in the mechanical power transmission market (i.e. Industrial Gear Boxes, Variable Speed Drives - Mechanical & Electrical, Industrial Electric Motors).
• Demonstrated track record of sales success, exceeding quotas and revenue growth.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; able to engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
• Evaluate plan attainment to ensure revenue and gross profit objectives are met and build relationships with customers to enhance profitability.
• Manage RSM and DSM sales activities.
• Maintain and manage territory maps, customer account assignments, and assist with territory realignments.
• Manage Distribution Channel within region.
• Submit monthly reporting and forecasting on sales activity and quotes or service issues.
• Conduct ongoing analysis and sales forecasting for all distribution channels to drive gross add objectives.
• Develop and manage budgets supporting business plans and distributor channel growth.
