Job summary

Waters is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service instrumentation at customer sites in the Northern Indiana/Southern Michigan region and surrounding states. You will travel daily to multiple sites, perform complex troubleshooting, and repair systems including lasers, fluidics, electronics, and PCs to restore operations.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 3+ years of troubleshooting experience, and a valid driver’s license with 50% travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; on-site technical work
• Minimum 3 years’ experience troubleshooting instruments or components
• Valid Driver's License; travel 50%+ of time
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to travel to multiple customer sites for service calls

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation per ISO and GMP standards
• Maintain car stock, test equipment, tools and documentation
• Manage travel expenses and spare parts inventory
• Report quality issues to Service Center and Engineering Manager
• Represent BD with professional conduct and customer focus
