Job summary

Citi’s Market Manager, U.S. Community Relations (USCR), leads local CID initiatives in the Chicago area and Midwest markets, connecting Citi with community stakeholders to advance CRA priorities and economic opportunity.

Reporting to the USCR West Regional Lead, you will build strategic partnerships, guide community programs, monitor outcomes, and elevate Citi’s role as a trusted community partner with a focus on regulatory alignment and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in community engagement, development, public policy, philanthropy, government affairs, or public-private partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing, financial inclusion, workforce development, economic mobility.
• Proven project management, stakeholder engagement, relationship management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and public speaking abilities, with experience engaging executive, community, and nonprofit stakeholders.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and AI-enabled tools, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Experience building cross-sector partnerships that drive measurable community outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support CRA priorities through community development service delivery, stakeholder engagement, documentation, reporting, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with community, nonprofit, and civic leaders in assigned markets.
• Collaborate with Government Affairs, the Citi Foundation, and lines of business to strengthen community partnerships and align Citi's resources to local needs.
• Represent Citi at external meetings, conferences, community events, and civic forums to strengthen relationships and visibility.
• Design and execute stakeholder convenings, sponsorship activations, executive engagements, and thought leadership opportunities that promote dialogue and highlight Citi's commitment to local communities.
• Serve as the local market activation lead for CID and firmwide initiatives, including financial education programs and community activations.
• Generate community intelligence, stakeholder insights, and market analysis to inform strategic planning and investment decisions.
• Identify and mitigate emerging community risks while partnering with senior leadership to develop strategies.
• Analyze program outcomes and stakeholder feedback to measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
