Job summary

Citi in Chicago seeks a Market Manager, U.S. Community Relations, to advance CRA priorities and community development across the Midwest. You will build partnerships with community leaders, nonprofits, and Citi teams to deliver impact and align resources with local needs.

In this role, you will lead stakeholder engagements, design programs, and analyze outcomes to drive measurable community benefits while navigating regulatory expectations and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years in community engagement, development, public policy, philanthropy, government affairs, or public-private partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing, financial inclusion, workforce development, economic mobility.
• Proven program management, stakeholder engagement, relationship management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience engaging executives, communities, and nonprofits.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support CRA priorities through community development, engagement, documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with community, nonprofit, and civic leaders in assigned markets.
• Collaborate with Government Affairs, Citi Foundation, and lines of business to strengthen partnerships and align resources with local needs.
• Represent Citi at external meetings, conferences, and community events to raise visibility and advance objectives.
• Design and execute stakeholder convenings, activations, executive engagements, and thought leadership opportunities.
• Act as local market activation lead for CID initiatives and firmwide programs like financial education and Blueprint for Housing opportunities.
• Generate community intelligence and market analysis to inform planning, investments, and engagement strategies.
• Identify and mitigate emerging community, reputational, and stakeholder risks with senior leadership.
