Frey Consulting Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to represent our industry-leading portfolio of commercial building products across the Midwest. You will develop relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners, and you’ll travel to support projects from early design through award.

This role offers autonomy to grow a territory in Illinois and neighboring states, with a hunter mentality, strong closing skills, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in commercial building products with architects and contractors.
• Proven ability to influence architects, engineers, contractors, and owners.
• Understanding of architectural specification processes.
• Experience managing opportunities from early design to award.
• Strong business development and territory management skills.
• Self-motivated, coachable, team‑oriented and territorial growth driven.
• Hunter mentality and long-term relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural specifications for commercial/industrial projects.
• Build relationships with architects, engineers, design-build firms, contractors, and building owners.
• Conduct Lunch & Learns, AIA/CSI presentations, trade shows, and educational events.
• Develop new business opportunities and expand pipeline.
• Manage opportunities from early design through project award using CRM.
• Travel approximately 50% throughout the Midwest.
