Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Holds or is eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in Exceptional Children’s teaching.
• Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license per NC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities and updates goals as needed.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools for specially designed instruction.
• Assists students in completing curriculum tasks and IEP goals.
• Adapts materials and uses varied teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
• Monitors behavior, maintains classroom discipline, and teaches behavioral strategies.
• Attends IEP meetings and collaborates with team members.
• Engages in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
