Job summary

KIPP Bay Area Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator to support students in core academics, treatments, and distances learning when needed. You will work with Education Specialists to reinforce learning activities and model appropriate behavior.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families, anti-racist education, and a commitment to ensuring every student can reach their academic potential in a diverse setting.

Qualifications

• Title I paraprofessionals duties may require instructional support.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus higher education options (A.A./B.A.) or test passing.
• Applicable state certifications or tests like ParaPro or CBEST may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in small groups or one-to-one to reinforce learning activities.
• Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and reinforce positive behaviors.
• Support social interactions and foster relationships between students with disabilities and peers.
• Assist students with personal care and classroom routines as needed.
• Provide testing accommodations and track student progress.
