Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a Paraeducator to support students with special needs in classrooms and online settings. This full-time 40-hour-per-week position reports to the Education Specialist and involves in-person and virtual instructional support, behavior management, and collaboration with staff.

The role includes testing accommodations, attendance at meetings, and maintaining student progress records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A.A. degree or B.A. degree (or 48 college units) or
• Pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment (passing score 460).

Responsibilities

• Work with students in small groups or 1:1 to reinforce core academics and language.
• Implement behavior intervention plans with positive reinforcement.
• Foster positive relationships between students with and without disabilities.
• Provide testing accommodations and supervise tests with extended time.
