Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a Paraeducator to support students with academic and behavioral needs across in-person and virtual settings. The role involves small-group and one-to-one instructional support under certificated staff guidance.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or higher, with college credits or degrees preferred, and the ability to use Google Suite and instructional technology.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; A.A. or B.A. degree preferred.
  • Pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment (score 460) or CBEST (for instructional support).
  • Demonstrated commitment to KIPP mission and inclusive, anti-racist education.
  • Ability to support learning in core subjects and adapt to multiple settings.

Responsibilities

  • Work with students in small groups or one-on-one to reinforce learning.
  • Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and supports.
  • Foster positive relationships between students with disabilities and peers.
  • Provide testing accommodations and supervise tests when needed.
  • Share progress notes with Education Specialist and maintain data trackers.
  • Attend IEP meetings and parent conferences; participate in professional development.
