Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is hiring a Paraeducator to support students with academic and behavioral needs in classroom and distance settings. Under supervision of Education Specialist, you will reinforce learning activities in small groups or one-to-one, support behavior plans, and help students access the educational environment.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, paid over 12 months with summer and breaks included.

Qualifications

• Commitment to KIPP mission and anti-racist education.
• Ability to support students with diverse academic needs.
• Must meet minimum education requirements: high school diploma and college credits or tests.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in small groups or 1:1 to reinforce learning.
• Assist in behavior intervention plans and positive reinforcement.
• Foster social interactions and inclusive relationships.
• Model appropriate behavior and provide emotional support.
• Support students on field trips and assemblies.
• Assist with testing accommodations and data tracking.
• Maintain a safe, clean classroom and assist with IEP meetings.
