Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a Paraeducator to support students in core academics and behavior needs. You will assist in both in-person and distance learning, aligning with our instructional program and behavior plans to maximize learning.

You will work under the Education Specialist, support small groups or one-on-one sessions, and help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment across school sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent, and
• BA degree (or minimum 48 units in process) or
• Pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment (passing score = 460)
• Proficient knowledge of Google Suite applications and ability to use instructional tech for distance learning
• Commitment to KIPP mission and being an anti-racist educator

Responsibilities

• Work with students in small groups or one-to-one to reinforce learning activities
• Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans with positive reinforcement
• Foster social interactions and positive relationships among students
• Provide emotional support and guidance to students
• Support students on field trips and assemblies
• Maintain confidential student records and progress data
