Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a Paraeducator to support students with disabilities and assist in both classroom and distance learning environments. You will reinforce learning activities, support behavior plans, and help create an inclusive, safe learning climate.

This full-time, 12-month role is paid at $20.92–$24.84 per hour, with added 60 days of school break pay, making annualized pay significantly higher than peers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent, and
• B.A. degree (or minimum 48 units in process) or
• Pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment (passing score = 460)

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Education Specialist, work with students in small groups or one-to-one to reinforce learning activities.
• Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and support positive behaviors.
• Foster positive relationships between students with disabilities and their non-disabled peers.
• Provide testing accommodations and document student progress.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom and assist with supervision during activities.
