Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a paraeducator to support students in special education and general education settings, in-person and virtually. The role emphasizes instructional support, behavior guidance, and collaboration with families and staff.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, paid over 12 months with summer and breaks pay. Candidates should have a high school diploma and related certifications, plus strong Google Suite and distance-learning tech skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree or BA degree (or 48 units in process).
• Pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment (460) or CBEST exams.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in small groups or one-to-one to reinforce learning activities.
• Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Foster positive relationships between students with disabilities and non-disabled peers.
• Model appropriate behavior and provide emotional support and guidance to students.
• Support students on field trips and school assemblies or productions.
• Provide testing accommodations and monitor student progress with data trackers.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom and a conducive learning environment.
• Attend IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and Student Study Meetings.
