Job summary

Technologent is seeking a Microsoft Pre-Sales Engineer in Houston to translate business needs into Microsoft-based solutions. You will work with Account Executives, Microsoft, and delivery partners to develop recommendations across Azure, M365, Entra ID, and related technologies.

The role requires 5+ years in technical pre-sales or similar customer-facing positions, a strong grasp of Microsoft licensing, and the ability to travel locally as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise technology sales and working directly with Account Executives and customers.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, particularly Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of enterprise infrastructure including compute, networking, storage, and security.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor with Account Executives to identify requirements and opportunities.
• Lead technical discovery workshops and assess customers’ Microsoft environments.
• Translate findings into solution recommendations and communicate business value.
• Support account planning, proposals, demonstrations, and technical responses.
• Design high-level solutions across Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and more.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Professional Services, and Ops to transition to delivery.
