The Role

Microsoft Business Development Executive

The Microsoft Business Development Executive role will be instrumental in driving sales activity between Presidio and Microsoft sales organizations. Leading efforts with a focus on co-selling and co-marketing, and a deep understanding of both ecosystems, this person will help design, launch, and drive enablement and go-to-market strategies, working collaboratively across functions and externally. This is a unique opportunity to significantly impact the growth of our Microsoft partnership.

Travel Requirements

Expected travel up to 25%. This role is remote.

Responsibilities Include
  1. Deep understanding of Microsoft's ecosystem, including cloud technologies, Partner Center, sales organization, and marketplace value proposition.
  2. Familiarity with Presidio's ecosystem and ability to work cross-functionally across various departments such as CSP Licensing, professional services, marketing, and sales.
  3. Participate in sales planning activities like QBRs and account reviews.
  4. Proactively engage with existing clients and prospects independently or with Presidio sales teams.
  5. Identify and qualify sales opportunities, gathering technical requirements, competitive threats, decision criteria, and funding details.
  6. Effectively communicate Presidio and Microsoft value propositions internally and externally, articulating joint differentiators.
  7. Understand Presidio's initiatives and priorities, especially regarding co-sell and co-marketing motions within Microsoft partnership.
  8. Act as a liaison within North America to drive business development and pipeline growth through enablement, account planning, and strategic plays.
  9. Develop and nurture relationships with Microsoft sellers and product teams.
  10. Provide thought leadership on partner strategy to stakeholders at all levels.
  11. Create and execute a business plan for Microsoft revenue growth and partnership expansion.
  12. Maintain communication cadence with Presidio and Microsoft teams to foster collaboration.
  13. Collaborate on enablement and GTM initiatives within the territory, including joint technology plays.
  14. Set KPIs to evaluate partnership growth and performance.
  15. Assist in messaging and branding standards for Presidio solutions portfolio.
  16. Grow relationships with vendor partners, understanding partner programs, funding, pricing, and content access.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of sales experience.
  • 5+ years within the Microsoft partner ecosystem, with strong Microsoft knowledge.
  • 2+ years in industries like Financial Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Manufacturing (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.
