The Role

Microsoft Business Development Executive

The Microsoft Business Development Executive will be instrumental in driving sales activity between Presidio and Microsoft sales organizations. This role emphasizes co-selling and co-marketing motions, requiring a deep understanding of both ecosystems. The person will help design, launch, and drive enablement and go-to-market strategies, working collaboratively across teams internally and externally. This is a unique opportunity to significantly impact the growth of our Microsoft partnership.

Travel Requirements: Up to 25%. This role is remote.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Understanding Microsoft's ecosystem, including cloud technologies, Partner Center, and marketplace value propositions.
  2. Having a working knowledge of Presidio's ecosystem and collaborating across departments such as CSP Licensing, professional and managed services, marketing, and sales.
  3. Participating in sales planning activities like QBRs and account reviews.
  4. Proactively engaging with clients and prospects independently or with sales teams.
  5. Identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, understanding technical requirements, competition, decision-making, and funding.
  6. Articulating and championing the joint Presidio and Microsoft value propositions.
  7. Understanding Presidio’s initiatives and integrating co-sell and co-marketing motions within the partnership.
  8. Acting as a liaison within North America to drive business development and pipeline growth.
  9. Developing and nurturing relationships with Microsoft sellers and product teams.
  10. Providing thought leadership on partner strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
  11. Creating strategic business plans to accelerate Microsoft revenue and partnership growth.
  12. Maintaining communication and collaboration with Presidio and Microsoft teams.
  13. Executing enablement and GTM strategies in collaboration with teams.
  14. Developing KPIs to measure partnership performance.
  15. Participating in messaging and branding standards development for Presidio solutions.
  16. Growing relationships with vendor partners, understanding partner programs, funding, pricing, and enablement resources.

Required Skills and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  2. 7+ years of sales experience.
  3. 5+ years within the Microsoft partner ecosystem.
  4. 2+ years in industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Manufacturing (preferred).
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.
