The Role

Microsoft Business Development Executive

The Microsoft Business Development Executive will be instrumental in driving sales activity between Presidio and Microsoft sales organizations. Leading efforts with a focus on co-selling and co-marketing, and possessing a deep understanding of both ecosystems, this individual will help design, launch, and drive enablement and go-to-market strategies, working collaboratively across teams internally and externally. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the growth of our Microsoft partnership and business.

Travel Requirements: Up to 25%. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Deep understanding of Microsoft's ecosystem, including cloud technologies, Partner Center, sales organization, and marketplace value proposition.
  2. Knowledge of Presidio's ecosystem and ability to work cross-functionally with various departments like CSP Licensing, professional and managed services, marketing, and sales.
  3. Participate in sales planning activities such as QBRs and account reviews.
  4. Proactively engage with existing clients and prospects, independently or alongside sales teams.
  5. Identify and qualify sales opportunities, gather technical requirements, assess competitive threats, and understand decision-making and funding processes.
  6. Effectively communicate and champion the value propositions of Presidio and Microsoft, articulating joint differentiators in the marketplace.
  7. Understand Presidio's initiatives and priorities, especially regarding co-sell and co-marketing motions within the Microsoft partnership.
  8. Act as a liaison within North America, engaging with sales teams to drive business development, pipeline growth, enablement, and strategic planning.
  9. Develop and nurture relationships with Microsoft sellers and product teams across the territory.
  10. Identify and collaborate on partner strategies, providing thought leadership to stakeholders including senior leadership.
  11. Create and execute strategic business plans to accelerate Microsoft revenue and partnership growth.
  12. Maintain regular communication with Presidio and Microsoft teams to foster collaboration.
  13. Help develop and implement joint enablement programs and GTM strategies within the territory.
  14. Work with leadership to set KPIs for partnership growth and performance management.
  15. Contribute to messaging and branding standards for Presidio solutions, including national practices like Cloud, Managed Services, and Cybersecurity.
  16. Manage relationships with vendor partners, understanding partner programs, funding, pricing, and support initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in military or work settings.
  2. Minimum 7 years of sales experience.
  3. At least 5 years within the Microsoft partner ecosystem, with strong Microsoft knowledge.
  4. Preferably 2+ years in industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Manufacturing.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.
