The Role

Microsoft Business Development Executive

The Microsoft Business Development Executive will be instrumental in driving sales activity between Presidio and Microsoft sales organizations. Leading efforts with a focus on co-selling and co-marketing, and a deep understanding of both ecosystems, this role involves designing, launching, and driving enablement and go-to-market strategies, working collaboratively internally and externally. This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the growth of our Microsoft partnership.

Travel Requirements

Expected travel up to 25%. This role is remote.

Responsibilities Include
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft's ecosystem including cloud technologies, Partner Center, and marketplace value proposition.
  • Familiarity with Presidio's ecosystem and ability to work across various departments such as CSP Licensing, services, marketing, and sales.
  • Participate in sales planning activities like QBRs and account reviews.
  • Proactively engage with existing clients and prospects, independently or with sales teams.
  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities, gather requirements, and assess competitive threats.
  • Articulate and champion the joint value proposition of Presidio and Microsoft.
  • Understand Presidio's initiatives and foster co-sell/co-marketing motions within the partnership.
  • Act as a liaison within North America, engaging with sales teams to drive business development.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with Microsoft sellers and teams.
  • Identify partner strategies and collaborate with stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Create strategic business plans to accelerate Microsoft revenue growth.
  • Maintain regular communication with Presidio and Microsoft teams to foster collaboration.
  • Help create and execute enablement and go-to-market strategies within the territory.
  • Establish KPIs to evaluate partnership growth and performance.
  • Contribute to messaging and branding standards for Presidio solutions.
  • Grow relationships with vendor partners, understanding partner programs, funding, and support options.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in sales.
  • 5+ years within the Microsoft partner ecosystem.
  • 2+ years in industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.
