The Role

Microsoft Business Development Executive

The Microsoft Business Development Executive will be instrumental in driving sales activity between Presidio and Microsoft sales organizations. Leading efforts with a focus on co-selling and co-marketing, and leveraging a deep understanding of both ecosystems, this individual will design, launch, and drive enablement and strategic go-to-market initiatives, working collaboratively across functions and externally. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the growth of our Microsoft partnership and business.

Travel Requirements: Up to 25%. This position is remote.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Deep understanding of Microsoft's ecosystem, including cloud technologies, Partner Center, sales organization, and marketplace value propositions.
  2. Familiarity with Presidio's ecosystem and ability to collaborate across departments such as CSP Licensing, professional and managed services, marketing, and sales.
  3. Participate in sales planning activities like QBRs and account reviews.
  4. Proactively engage with existing clients and prospects, independently or with Presidio sales teams.
  5. Identify and qualify sales opportunities, gather technical requirements, assess competitive threats, and understand decision-making and funding processes.
  6. Communicate and champion the joint value proposition of Presidio and Microsoft internally and externally, highlighting differentiation.
  7. Understand Presidio's initiatives and priorities, especially regarding co-sell and co-marketing within the Microsoft partnership.
  8. Act as a liaison within North America to drive business development and pipeline growth through enablement, account planning, and strategic plays.
  9. Develop and nurture relationships with Microsoft sellers and product teams across assigned territories.
  10. Provide thought leadership on partner strategy to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  11. Create strategic business plans to accelerate Microsoft revenue and partnership growth.
  12. Maintain regular communication with Presidio and Microsoft teams to foster collaboration.
  13. Coordinate and execute joint enablement and GTM initiatives within the territory, focusing on market-specific technology plays.
  14. Work with leadership to establish KPIs for partnership performance and growth.
  15. Contribute to messaging and branding standards for Presidio solutions, including practices like Cloud, Managed Services, EUC/Microsoft, and Cybersecurity.
  16. Manage relationships with vendor partners, understanding partner programs, funding, pricing, and content access.

Required Skills and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in military or work history.
  2. At least 7 years of sales experience.
  3. Over 5 years within the Microsoft partner ecosystem, with strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies.
  4. Preferred experience in industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Manufacturing.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.
