The Role

Microsoft Business Development Executive

The Microsoft Business Development Executive will be instrumental in driving sales activity between Presidio and Microsoft sales organizations. Leading efforts with a focus on co-selling and co-marketing, and possessing a deep understanding of both ecosystems, this role involves designing, launching, and executing enablement and go-to-market strategies, collaborating internally and externally. This is a unique opportunity to significantly impact the growth of our Microsoft partnership.

Travel Requirements

Expected travel up to 25%. This role is remote.

Responsibilities Include
  1. Understanding Microsoft's ecosystem, including cloud technologies, Partner Center, sales organization, and marketplace value proposition.
  2. Having a comprehensive knowledge of Presidio's ecosystem and working cross-functionally across various departments such as CSP Licensing, professional services, marketing, and sales.
  3. Participating in sales planning activities like QBRs and account reviews.
  4. Proactively engaging with existing clients and prospects independently or alongside sales teams.
  5. Identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, gathering technical requirements, and understanding decision-making and funding processes.
  6. Articulating and championing the joint value proposition of Presidio and Microsoft.
  7. Understanding Presidio's initiatives and incorporating co-sell and co-marketing strategies within Microsoft partnerships.
  8. Acting as a liaison within North America to drive business development and pipeline growth.
  9. Developing and nurturing relationships with Microsoft sellers and product teams.
  10. Providing thought leadership on partner strategy to stakeholders.
  11. Creating and executing strategic business plans to accelerate Microsoft revenue and partnership growth.
  12. Maintaining regular communication with Presidio and Microsoft teams to foster collaboration.
  13. Executing joint enablement and GTM strategies within the territory.
  14. Collaborating with leadership to establish KPIs for partnership growth and performance.
  15. Participating in messaging and branding standards development for Presidio solutions.
  16. Growing relationships with vendor partners, understanding partner programs, funding, pricing, and content access.
Required Skills and Professional Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of sales experience.
  • 5+ years within the Microsoft partner ecosystem.
  • 2+ years in industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.
