Advocate Health seeks a part-time Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the Molecular/Clinical Lab in Wisconsin. The role involves performing and supervising testing across several specialty areas, with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

The position supports training staff and ensuring CAP-compliant processes in an acute-care setting. Qualifications include a BS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology and certification requirements with up to one year to obtain ASCP/AMT

Aufgaben

• Performs laboratory testing of biological specimens in an acute setting in any/all specialty areas using manual or automated techniques.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts to complete work within expected time frames.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and follows reporting protocols.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment.
• Assists in quality control, QA and corrective actions as needed.
• Collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients according to protocol.
• Trains and mentors staff and students as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with accrediting standards and CAP requirements.
• Performs proficiency testing and supports transfusion services and related areas.
