Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Technologist or MLS/MT with ASCP/AMT credentialing desired.
• Strong communication and ability to work flexible schedules.
• Ability to perform and supervise complex lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests per protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports accordingly.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments.
• Maintains quality control and quality assurance protocols.
• Collects specimens and ensures proper labeling and handling.
• Provides training and guidance to staff and students.
• Ensures compliance with CAP standards in acute settings.
• Performs proficiency testing and specialty testing in multiple areas.
• Supports critical care departments with timely results including transfusion services.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field
